Virtual Race to End Slavery – January 2015

On January 1st, 2015, we held our 8th annual World Race for Hope 5k in Troy, Ohio. It was another astounding success, as we engaged 200 participants, dozens of volunteers and more members of the community who came to the pancake breakfast afterwards.

Like always, we have a virtual race option for our New Year’s Day race for those who want to support the cause, but are unable to attend the event in person. In 2014, we extended the virtual race to take place throughout the month of January, which is National Slavery Prevention and Human Trafficking Awareness Month in the United States (read the Presidential Proclamation). We are continuing this effort in 2015.

By registering as a virtual participant, you can support the cause of ending slavering, and the race provides a vehicle for you to raise awareness with others. You will receive a race shirt if you choose the Virtual Race option to include a shirt.

Proceeds from our virtual race support one of our International charity partners, Daughters Rising.
