Registration is open for our 8th annual World Race for Hope 5k in Troy, Ohio on New Year’s Day 2015. Through November 30, early registration for adults is $20, and students or children pay only $15. The prices go up by $5 on December 1st, and will stay the same level through same day registration.  Register before the price increase on 12/1 to guarantee a fair trade, organic cotton t-shirt.

You will note a couple of changes for the 2015 race. The biggest change, we decided to use SignMeUp as our registration platform. Compared to previous years, the race organizers feel that the registration process will be simpler, and quicker. Like previous years, Free To Run Foundation is absorbing the online processing fees for each registration (approx. $2.60 for a $20 registration). If you wish to offset this fee, you can make an additional donation to Free To Run during the registration process.

We are still supporting and encouraging teams to form and participate in the event. Team Captains will first need to create their team on this page in order for their team name to appear on the main registration page.

By moving away from the peer-to-peer fundraising platform that we used for registration the last few years, we wanted to focus on the 5k race itself, with a goal of making it the “must do” race on New Year’s Day in the Dayton area, and a great way to start off the New Year on the right foot. Of course, this is still a charity race, and proceeds and any donations received will support our initiatives and charity partners in the Dayton area and internationally.

Charity Partners

Abolition Ohio – the race proceeds will go towards awareness initiatives such as the billboard campaign in Dayton

Be Free Dayton – proceeds for Be Free’s Safe Home campaign (aftercare housing for survivors in the Dayton area)
